WPT Fallsview Poker Classic About to Begin

Feb 22, 2014

Welcome to Day 1 of the World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic coming to you from picturesque Niagara Falls, Ontario. The WPT is excited to return north of the border after having last visited Canada in December for the partypoker WPT Montreal event.

Play begins at noon ET today and the WPT Live Updates team is here to bring you start-to-finish coverage of this three-day, $5,000 CAD buy-in event. Players will begin with 30,000 in chips with blinds starting at 50-100 for the first 40-minute level of the day. Registration will remain open until the beginning of Level 9 in this single-entry tournament.

The first nine levels will last 40 minutes each, then Levels 10-13 will each last 60 minutes, meaning play will end a little before midnight.

Here is a look at the remaining schedule for the tournament:

Sunday, February 23: Day 2 (12 noon), play Levels 14-23
Monday, February 24: Day 3 (12 noon), play down to a winner

It’s chilly outside but comfortably warm here in the Fallsview Casino Resort. The poker action will be heating up shortly, so stay tuned.
