Irvine, CA (July 25, 2024) – The World Poker Tour® official online poker room, WPT® Global*, is hosting the WPT Global Summer Festival from July 28-August 18. Among the festival schedule, players will have the chance to etch their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup, as well as claim two other WPT titles.
“It has been incredible to witness the growth of WPT Global,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “This coming Summer Festival is one for the books and is once again giving players around the world the chance to compete for the Sexton Cup.”
The highlight of the WPT Global Summer Festival is the $3,500 buy-in WPT Championship, which runs August 11-18 and boasts a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The ultimate winner will join the WPT Champion’s Club and walk away with the lion’s share of the prize pool as well as a seat in the 2024 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
Other WPT championship events on the schedule include the $1,060 WPT Prime Championship with a $750,000 guarantee, running August 4-11, and the $530 WPT 500 Championship sporting a $400,000 guarantee, which begins on the opening day of the festival, July 28, and concludes on August 4.
“This is the most expansive festival WPT Global has ever run,” stated Alex Scott, WPT Global President. “From the jam-packed schedule with tons of guarantees to having a chance to become a WPT Champion, the value is abundant for online poker players at all levels.”
In total, the Summer Festival will run more than 350 MTTs and offer $8,000,000 in guaranteed prize money.
