After an epic final table, Ben Winsor has won the partypoker WPT500 UK title for £150,000. Winsor won the event after a grueling heads-up battle against his opponent, Keith Cummins, who placed second for £90,000.

The final day that began with 53 players, and by 4 a.m. local time a winner was crowned in Winsor. The race to the final table was in stark contrast to the battle for the trophy, as players flew out of the door left and right.

At the final table, Charalampos Lappas was the first to go, and he was followed out the door by Jack Hoffman and Andrew Hulme.

Marian Flesar was the next to go, busting in sixth place for £20,000. Then it was John Bonadies finishing fifth for £27,250.

Jav Javed hit the rail next, falling fourth for £40,000. His Diamond QDiamond 9 ran into the Spade AHeart Q of Will Davies, but Davies didn’t go much further, as he busted in third to £60,000.

On the final hand, Cummins moved all in over the top of a raise from Winsor. Winsor called the shoved with pocket eights, and he was flipping against the Club AHeart 10 of Cummins. The Diamond KHeart JDiamond 4Heart 7Diamond 5 board kept Winsor’s eights in front and scored him the victory.
