Zakhar Galper Leads the 6 Survivors on Day 1C

Day 1C of Zynga Poker WPT500 Las Vegas comes to a conclusion with the 113-entrant field reduced to just the final six players with Zakhar Galper (pictured) the chip leader with 615,000 in chips.

Galper jolted up the leaderboard once the money bubble approached, and as he kept his foot on the gas, Galper kept his momentum at the final table before ending the day as chip leader. Sitting just behind Galper is Adam Cader (507,000) and John Caldwell (449,000), while Jim Agate, Gina Bacon, and Ilya Rogov round out the final six players.

Today was the third of eight starting flights, and there were 205 entries. The final 12.5% of each starting field finishes in the money, guaranteed at least $900 each, and the final 5% advance to Day 2.

Day 1C saw play end at with 31:17 remaining in Level 19 with blinds at 4,000-8,000 and a big blind ante of 8,000. When Day 2 begins, the blinds will roll back to the earliest finish of all the starting flights.

Day 1E begins on Monday, June 23, at 11 a.m. (PDT) with the registration and re-entry period closing at the start of level nine (approximately 3:30 p.m. PDT). Day 2 begins on Wednesday, June 26, at 1 p.m. (PDT), and the nine-handed final table begins on Thursday, June 27, at 12 p.m. (PDT).
