Welcome to WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Day 2

May 7, 2017

Dean Arsenie

After 243 players entered over two starting flights, just 103 remain at the start of Day 2 here at the Holland Casino, Amsterdam for the WPTDeepStacks. Leading the way is Day 1B chip-leader Dean Arsenie, closely folloed by Day 1A chip-leader Johan Strijbis.

Arsenie, who is Canadian but lives in Rotterdam, bagged up 221,100 yesterday, just under two starting stacks more than his nearest opponent Strijbis.

The plan today is to play down to a final table of nine players. The average stack is around 70,000, which at the current blind level is around 30 big blinds. Stay tuned to WorldPokerTour.com to see if any short stacks can battle there way to the top, and whether Arsenie or Strijbis can stick around until the business end of the tournament!
