Top Pair is Good For Deadman

Feb 20, 2013

On a flop reading [Jh][8d][6d] Martin Sturc, who is in the middle of having an intense massage, bets 650 from middle position. Simon Deadman is his sole opponent and is seated in the cutoff. Deadman calls.

The [2d] on the turn looks like a complete brick which is probably why Sturc did not slow down – he bets 950. Again, Deadman calls. The river brings another deuce into view, the [2c] and now Sturc slows down and checks. Deadman keeps his foot firmly on the gas and bets 3,100. Sturc tanks for close to a minute before calling.

Deadman shows [Ah][Js] and Sturc mucks.
