Tom Sheets Eliminated by Millard Hale

Mar 23, 2014

After a flop of [Kh9s7s] and some post-flop action, Millard Hale moves all in from the big blind, and Tom Sheets calls all in from under the gun. Greg Baumhover folds in the cutoff.

Sheets turns over [AcAh] for an overpair, and he needs it to hold to stay alive against Hale’s [Ks5s] (pair of kings with a flush draw).

The turn is the [Qc], the river is the [5c], and Hale wins the pot with a rivered two pair, kings and fives, to eliminate Sheets from the tournament.

Baumhover reacted strongly to the queen on the turn, claiming he folded jack-ten of spades. When Hale asked how he could fold such a strong hand, Baumhover said he figured one of the other two had a higher spade draw.
