The Eight Minute Hand

Sep 8, 2011

WPT Paris Day 3
On a board reading [10s8s5c7d] Matthew Waxman checks in the small blind and it is up to Benny Spindler to act in the hijack seat. He bets 19,200 and Waxman sits motionless his eyes darting back and forth between Spindler, the flop and his own stack. After two full minutes he makes the call.

The river is the [3s] and Waxman checks again. Spindler bets 48,700 and Waxman goes into the tank for more than four minutes before he folds.

We were only there for six minutes and we can only assume the action was as slow preflop and the flop so the title is probably accurate!
