Sass Loses Half His Stack

Jul 16, 2009

Action folds around to Alan Sass in the cutoff and he raises.  Tommy Hang calls out of the small blind and the two see a [10h8s6d] flop.  Hang checks, Sass bets out 7,500 and Hang calls.  Both players check when the [Kh] comes on the turn and Hang leads out for 16,000 when the [8h] falls on the river.  Sass deliberates before raising to 54,800 total and it doesn’t take long before Hang moves all-in for an additional 90,700.

Sass eventually calls and mucks his hand when Hang shows [Ah9h] for the nut flush.  Hang doubles up to 180,000 while Sass drops to 140,000.
