Parker Talbot

Parker Talbot (pictured) raises from the button to 270,000, leaving himself just 25,000 behind, and Joe Dwek calls from the small blind, leaving himself just 60,000 behind.

The flop comes Spade 6Spade 3Spade 2, and Dwek confidently moves all in for 60,000.

Talbot says, “Yikes.”

Dwek engages in some light conversation, and Talbot laughs a bit from time to time as he contemplates the call.

Another player at the table says, “That’s what you get for putting yourself in this situation.” Talbot laughs again.

Talbot uses two of his Time Chips to think for more than a minute before he says, “I don’t like it,” but he calls all in for 25,000 with Diamond KHeart 9 for king high with no spades.

Dwek turns over Heart KSpade 5 for king high with a lower kicker, but his five of spades gives him a flush draw. Dwek calls out for a spade.

The turn card is the Club 2, the river card is the Diamond A, and Talbot wins the pot with his nine kicker to double up in chips.

Parker Talbot  –  665,000  (22 bb)
Joe Dwek  –  35,000  (1 bb)

As he stacks his chips, Talbot says, “Maybe I will win this tournament.”
