Not a Warm Welcome for Lalwani

The field size for Day 1B is slowly but surely growing and the screens now show a total of 56 entries. Unlike yesterday’s first flight, there was no seat open within the first 10 minutes of play but the chips are still splashing around with hundreds of big blinds at each player’s disposal.

One of the new entries is Rakesh Lalwani, who loses a bigger pot right away. In a battle of the blinds with Khalil Tazi, Lalwani gets check-raised from 700 to 1,500 on the flop and calls. Tazi bets the turn for 3,000 and picks up a call before the repeat ace on the river triggers another bet of 4,000 by Tazi.

Lalwani folds face up and gets shown the by Tazi. Other new faces in the field include David Pecheur, Kamel Atoui, Sadri Darwich, Maribel Galiano and Kamal Sefrioui.
