Nitsche Will Finish Day 1A On Top

Oct 23, 2012

Dominik Nitsche
The final curtain is yet to close, but it will take something special for Dominik Nitsche to be deposed from his new throne. He is sat on a stack of 240,000 and our early chip leader Claude Sacks is nowhere to be seen. Here is Nitsche describing why that is.

He opens from mid-position holding [Ax] [Qx] and Divan Le Roux three bets one seat to his left. Sacks flats from the button and Nitsche also makes the call.

Flop: [Qx] [7x] [5x]

Nitsche checks, Le Roux bets 6,500, Sacks calls, Nitsche check-raises to 17,500, Le Roux folds and Sacks calls.

Turn: [Qx]

Nitsche bets 22,000 and Sacks calls.

River: [5x]

Nitsche open shoves for 70,000 and after some time in the tank Sacks calls holding pocket nines and is out of the competition.
