Muhammad Abdel-Rahim Claims Chip Lead; 31 Remain

After ten 60-minute levels were played out in Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks Montreal and with the players well into the money spots, Muhammad Abdel-Rahim will return for the final day as chipleader with 31 still in with a chance of winning the C$222,000 first-place prize.

Abdel-Ramin will return with a stack 2,270,000 with David Quang (2,010,000), Mark A (1,915,000), Eric Vallee (1,800,000), Daniel Dubeau (1,740,000) completing the top five.

Over five starting flights, 896 entrants created a C$1,299,680 prize pool and Douglas James (251,000), Trevor Argue (301,000), Frederic Normand (276,500) and Laurence Grondin (327,000) came into Day 2 as the four normal starting flight chip leaders.

The action got underway at 3 pm at the Playground Poker club with WPT Champions Club members Dylan Wilkerson, Darryll Fish, Eric Afriat, Marvin Rettenmaier, Mukul Pahuja, Tony Tran, Shawn Buchanan, Victor Ramdin, and partypoker Chairman Mike Sexton all in Day 2 action.

Ton Tran will be the sole WPT Champions Club representative in the final day after he bagged a stack worth 430,000.

111 players got paid with a minimum cash worth C$2,700.00. The 31 remaining players will return on Sunday, November, 4 at 2 pm.
