Mike Leah is all in for about 16,000, but he’s up against two other players with much larger stacks, including one of the chipleaders, Mathieu Valade.

Here are their cards in descending order of chip counts:

Mathieu Valade (Button):  Diamond AHeart K
Middle Position:  Heart ASpade K
Mike Leah (Cutoff):  Diamond KDiamond Q

The board comes Club KClub 8Spade 7Heart 3Diamond 8, and all three players finish the hand with two pair, kings and eights, but of course the two bigger stacks chop the pot with their ace kickers to eliminate Leah from Day 1B.

Leah has considerately already chopped his chip stack in half, and he shows the equal stacks to the dealer before sliding half of his chips to each player.

Mathieu Valade  –  160,000  (160 bb)
Mike Leah  –  Eliminated
