Meet the #WPTLuckyHearts Final Table

Feb 11, 2014

Seat 1. Dimas Martinez, Jr. – 3,558,000 (148 bb)

Dimas Martinez Jr 1
Dimas Martinez Jr. is from Atlanta, Georgia and he has been one of the most talkative players in the World Poker Tour Lucky Hearts Poker Open. The 40-year-old is also the chip leader at the start of the final table. He is originally from Queens in New York and is married with seven children. Martinez has been playing poker for 20 years and he is the owner of Spanish Mafia Records. Tonight will mark his first WPT cash but he is guaranteed to win at least $54,355. He is an aggressive player that should mix things up early and he will have a large collection of family on his final-table rail.

Seat 2. Shannon Shorr – 3,478,000 (144 bb)

Shannon Shorr 1
Shannon Shorr is one of the well-known professionals at the WPT Lucky Hearts final table and considering that he is second in chips Shorr has to be the favorite to take home his first WPT title. Shorr has won $793,522 at WPT events and this will be his tenth cash on tour. This is also Shorr’s third final table. The 28-year-old poker pro who was born in Birmingham, Alabama has already won $5.4 million playing in poker tournaments so the title of WPT champion will probably mean more than the top prize worth $271,103 if he wins tonight. Shorr will have his parents on his rail tonight.

Seat 3. Keven Stammen – 826,000 (34 bb)
Keven Stammen
Keven Stammen is a professional poker player who is originally from Coldwater, Ohio. Before playing poker Stammen was a masonry worker. His hobbies include snowmobiling and he comes into the final table in fifth chip-position. This will be Stammen’s fifth cash on tour and he is appearing at his second final table. We will see if he can improve on his fifth-place finish in the Foxwoods World Poker Finals during Season IX. Stammen has won $155,544 of his career earnings worth $1,887,425 at WPT events.

Seat 4. Evan Dollinger – 684,000 (28 bb)
Evan Dollinger
Evan Dollinger comes into the final table at the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open as the short stack so he has an uphill battle to fight. The 28-year-old poker player ($258,200 career earnings) from nearby Coral Springs, Florida is originally from New Jersey and he is married. His wfie Rebecca will be on the rail to support him at the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino along with friends and family. Today is their two-year wedding anniversary so maybe that factor combined with the namesake of the tournament will bring him some extra luck. Whatever happens Dollinger will make his first cash on tour a good one.

Seat 5. Tim Kegel – 1,271,000 (52 bb)
Tim Kegel
Tim Kegel is the elder statesman at the final table at 53 years young and he has the most interesting profession as well. He works in racehorse procurement and management. He also has three children. Kegel comes into the final table in fourth chip-position and wherever he places he will secure not only the first WPT cash on his resume but the largest of his career ($18,390 career earnings).

Seat 6. James Calderaro – 2,649,000 (110 bb)
James Calderaro
A familiar face on the tour, James Calderaro will be another talkative player at the final table today. Calderaro has cashed five times on tour and won $394,643 at WPT events. His girlfriend Lily Kiletto was the runner-up at this tournament one year ago. Calderaro also has a runner-up finish on tour. He took second in the Jacksonville bestbet Open during Season X and won $236,500. Calderaro can top that total with his first WPT win tonight and add to his career earnings worth $1,533,633. The 48-year-old investor is originally from New York and now lives in Florida, but for the most part he travels to WPT events with Kiletto and his friend John Gordon. They will both be on the rail tonight to support Calderaro.
