Matthew Waxman and Aleksei Vandyshev Chop Some of Chris Limo's Chips

Sep 22, 2016

Aleksei Vandyshev raises from the cutoff to 80,000, Chris Limo calls from the button, and Matthew Waxman calls from the big blind.

The flop comes Spade QDiamond JClub 2, Waxman checks, and Vandyshev bets 125,000. Limo raises to 250,000, and Waxman and Vandyshev both call. The turn card is the Diamond 3, and all three players check.

The river card is the Diamond 3, and Waxman bets 720,000. Vandyshev raises to 2,000,000, and Limo folds. Waxman moves all in, and Vandyshev calls with Diamond 10Diamond 9 for a queen-high straight.

But Waxman turns over Club 10Heart 9 for the same straight, and it’s a chopped pot. (After the hand, Limo claims to have folded ace-queen.)

Aleksei Vandyshev  –  2,900,000  (73 bb)
Matthew Waxman  –  2,700,000  (68 bb)
