Massive Pot Goes Natale's Way

Jul 21, 2011

A pot of more than 2,000,000 chips has just been shipped to Vincenzo Natale after a real cooler of a river cost Johannes Korsar half of his stack.

Korsar raised to 40,000 from the button, Miha Travnik folded but Vincenzo Natale called from the big blind. The dealer put out the [4h4c2d] flop and Natale initially checked before check-raising Korsar’s 28,000 continuation bet to 100,000. Korsar called and it was off to the turn.

The [Qd] on the turn stared at for two full minutes by Natale before the Italian bet 200,000. Korsar asked for a count and he was told him opponent had 677,000. Upon hearing this he called the 200,000 bet.

The [3h] on the river was met with a shove from Natale and a snap-call from Korsar.

Natale turned over [4d3d] for a full house, screaming and shouting in a rather unsporting manner and a dejected Korsar stood to speak to his friends and flipped over [6d5h] for a straight. Ouch.

The Italian is now our chip leader with 2,065,000 chips.
