Maksim Ausiyevich Bags the Day 1B Chip Lead

Day 1B of the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship is in the books with another 42 players advancing to Day 2 from a field of 334 entries.

Those totals are just shy of the 340 from Day 1A that advanced 43 players.

Play concluded in Level 17 with 7:16 remaining on the clock. At that point, Maksim Ausiyevich bagged up the biggest stack of 1,092,000 chips, leading the Day 2 returnees who are all in the money.

Day 1A chip leader Senchylo Zuev remains the overall chip leader with his 1,193,000.

The top five stacks from Day 1B are as follows:

1. Maksim Ausiyevich – 1,092,000 (109 bb)
2. Fabio Muhr – 854,000 (85 bb)
3. Aykutalp Yilmaz – 716,000 (71 bb)
4. Aleksandr Denishev – 665,000 (66 bb)
5. Mariana Zainescu – 625,000 (62 bb)

The day’s survivors will join those from Day 1A on Sunday at 1 p.m. local time for Day 2.

Meanwhile, Saturday will see the final two opening flights, with Day 1C starting at noon CET, with a turbo Day 1D starting at 9 p.m.
