Jamie Rosen: Leaking Like a Sieve

Nov 3, 2011

Jamie Rosen

A few short weeks ago Jamie Rosen was the chip leader at the end of Day 1a of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event. All eyes were on the American for the start of day two but he failed to shine and just slowly evaporated into the ether.

Yesterday, Rosen surged to the top of the chip counts and he was sitting pretty in the top ten. But at the start of this day two Rosen is once again finding it difficult to retain his chips.

Eric Von Buxhoeveden raises to 1,200 in the hijack seat and Jamie Rosen cold calls on the button. The flop is [Ac] [8h] [4s] and Rosen calls a Von Buxhoeveden c-bet of 3,000. The turn of [Ah] is checked through and we see the [Ks] on the river. Von Buxhoeveden checks and Rosen bets 4,000 and gets called instantly. The look on the face of Rosen was that of a beaten man.

Von Buxhoeveden: [8c] [6c]
Rosen: [7d] [6d]

Von Buxhoeveden wins the pot.

Von Buxhoeveden:  170,000
Rosen: 85,0000
