Hands #35-40: Fabian Gumz Takes a Big One From Andras Matrai

Hand #35 – Maor Zaharagi raises to 375,000 in the small blind and Fabian Gumz defends his big blind.

On the Spade ADiamond QClub 8 flop, Zaharagi bets 200,000 and gets called by Gumz.

Zaharagi bets 425,000 on the Spade 8 turn and Gumz folds.

Hand #36 – Fabian Gumz limps his small blind, then calls a raise to 450,000 from Jozef Cibicek in the big blind. 

The duo checks the Diamond JHeart 9Diamond 2 flop to see the Diamond 8 turn.

Gumz leads for 650,000 and Cibicek folds.

Hand #37 – Andras Matrai gets a walk in the big blind.

Hand #38 – After Fabian Gumz raises to 250,000 in the cutoff, Andras Matrai moves all in from the big blind. Gumz folds.

Hand #39 – Fabian Gumz raises to 250,000 in the hijack and everyone folds.

Hand #40 – Andras Matrai raises to 250,000 in the cutoff and gets called by Fabian Gumz in the big blind.

They check the Heart JHeart 9Spade 8 flop to see the Spade K turn.

Gumz checks again and faces a bet of 350,000 from Matrai which he calls.

On the Club 8 river, Gumz checks a final time and Matrai bets 1,075,000. Gumz uses two time banks before check-raising to 2,100,000, leaving himself under 500,000 behind.

Matrai uses three time banks of his own before electing to fold.

He asks Gumz to show a card, and he says Matrai can pick one. He does, and Gumz reveals the Club A, to send Matrai to break thinking about the hand.
