Hand #26-27: Jaffee Versus Purvis

Hand #26 – Jared Jaffee raises to 100,000 from the small blind and Blake Purvis calls from the big blind.

The flop comes [Jd5d5h] and Jaffee checks. Purvis checks it back and the [Ts] hits the turn. Jaffee bets 130,000 and Purvis calls to see the [6d] strike the river. Jaffee moves forward 240,000 and Purvis calls. 

Jaffee shows [Js7h] for jacks and fives which bests Purvis’ [Th6c] for tens and sixes. 

Scooping this pot puts Jaffee over 5 million in chips. 

Hand #27 – Jaffee raises to 110,000 from the button. Purvis calls from the small blind and Margo Costa folds her big blind.

The flop comes [Ks2s7h] and Purvis checks to the raiser. Jaffee bets 115,000 and Purvis calls.

The turn is the [3d] and Purvis checks once again. Jaffee checks it back and the [Kc] finishes off the board. Purvis checks for a third time and Jaffee checks behind. Purvis shows [As6d] for ace-high and takes down the pot.
