David Dongwoo Ko limps for 500,000, Dan Stavila raises from the big blind to 1,800,000, and Ko calls.

Both players check to the turn on a board of Club 10Club 8Spade 2Club 9, Stavila checks, Ko bets 2,450,000, and Stavila thinks for a while before he calls.

The river card is the Heart 3, Stavila checks, Ko bets 7,200,000, and Stavila thinks for a while before he check-raises all in for 16,025,000.

Ko snap-calls, and Stavila turns over Club QClub 6 for a queen-high flush.

But Ko turns over Club KClub 3 to win the pot — and the WPT title — with a king-high flush.

Dan Stavila finishes as the runner-up, earning CAD $280,000.

David Dongwoo Ko wins the WPT Montreal Championship, earning CAD $434,900, a WPT Champions Trophy, and a Playground Poker Championship Belt. As part of his prize amount, Ko has locked up his US $10,400 seat into the season-ending WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, and Ko’s name will be engraved on the one-and-only Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup alongside every champion from all 22 seasons of the World Poker Tour.
