Erik Seidel Can't Win Them All

Mar 13, 2011

He can chop them, however.  The red hot Erik Seidel is quick to get involved in the charity action, getting all-in on the first hand holding A-Q to Joe Sebok’s [As10d] and Gavin Smith’s [3c6c].  The [Ac8d4h] pairs up Sebok, but Seidel’s kicker has him bested for the moment.  Emcee Phil Hellmuth is quick to call out Seidel for running well and rubs salt in Smith’s wound by pointing out he is drawing dead by the [Kh] on the turn.

The river isn’t even dealt, but the table already agrees there is no way Seidel is losing this pot.  The river pairs the board with the [8h] and Sebok leaps out of his chair, rejoicing at his good fortune.  He and Seidel chop up Smith’s stack, while Smith immediately double rebuys.
