Down to the Final Three Players in the WPT Global Last-Longer with a CAD $10,000 Prize Package at Stake

May 20, 2024

WPT Global has been running a last-longer for players* in the WPT Montreal Championship who deposited at least USD $250 in their WPT Global account. Of the 882 entries in the WPT Montreal Championship, there were 71 players who qualified for the WPT Global Last Longer, and with seven players remaining, there are still three players left in the last longer.

Here are their current chip counts:

Dongwoo Ko  –  17,475,000  (175 bb)
Tommy Nguyen  –  5,025,000  (50 bb)
Dan Stavila  –  2,150,000  (22 bb)

The final two players in the last-longer will win some pretty nice prizes, so this is the Money Bubble of sorts for the last longer. Here are the prizes at stake:

1st Prize:  CAD $10,000 package (CAD $3,000 in cash and CAD $7,000 worth of tickets on WPT Global)

2nd Prize:  Online entry into the USD $3,500 WPT Championship in the WPT Global Spring Festival, with starting flights beginning on Sunday, May 19th.

With only one more elimination until the end of the night, it looks like we won’t have a winner until the six-handed televised WPT Final Table, but we could still burst that last-longer Money Bubble here tonight.

NOTE:  * Unfortunately, players who are from the United States or the Canadian province of Ontario are ineligible for this promotion.
