David Taborsky Leads Day 1B WPT Venice

Gioco Digitale WPT Venice Carnival

92 players took their seats at the start of Day 1B of the Gioco Digitale World Poker Tour (WPT) Venice Carnival and 68 of them have ended it with chips safely secured in a plastic bag.

The chip leader is David Taborsky who ended the day with 100,300 chips, making him the overall chip leader when we resume Day 2 in 24 hours time. Other big stacks include Chaz Chattha (97,850), Massimo Mosele (81,000), Andreas Goeller (73,450) and Victor Ilyukhin (71,695).

Three WPT Champions Club members made it through to Day 2.

Former WPT Bratislava Champion Roberto Romanello ended the day with 48,400 chips, but his father Francesco was eliminated in Level 6; former WPT Mazagan winner Giacomo Fundaro spent the day playing with Romanello and he ended the day with 45,450, and finally WPT Baden winner Vladimir Bozinovic also made it through with 41.850 chips.

The only WPT Champions Club member not to make it was Julian Thomas. The reigning WPT Prague winner losing a flip to Andrea Billio not long after dinner.

PartyPoker Pro Kara Scott made it through with 43,200 chips, but the new PartyPoker pro Jamie Kerstetter wasn’t as fortunate when she ran [Ad] [Kd] into pocket kings in the first hand after the dinner break.

So that’s a wrap for Day 1B.
