Curt Kohlberg Takes Two Big Pots Against Vladyslav Shovkovyi on the Money Bubble

With the final board showing on the river and roughly 235K already in the pot, Vladyslav Shovkovyi bets 70,000 from UTG+1, and Curt Kohlberg tanks for a while on the button before he raises to 285,000.

Shovkovyi tanks for several minutes before he eventually looks like he’s about to fold and he says, “I have a flush.” Shovkovyi folds, and Kohlberg takes the pot without showing his cards.

Four hands later, when this table was the only one still playing on the Money Bubble, Kohlberg raises UTG+1 to 18,000. Kharlin Sued calls from middle position, and Shovkovyi reraises from the button to 65,000.

Kohlberg tanks for a while before he four-bets it to 180,000, and Sued quickly folds.

Shovkovyi tanks for a very long time before he calls.

The flop comes , and Kohlberg takes his time to think before he bets 150,000. Shovkovyi goes into the tank again for a very long time before he folds face up.

Kohlberg takes another big pot without showing his cards, and he catapults up to fourth on the leaderboard as the field begins their 90-minute dinner break.
