Chip-leader Dean Arsenie Back for Day 2

Current chip-leader Dean Arsenie is back  in the field after bagging up a stack of 221,100, well clear of the rest of the field.

“I played a couple of events at WPT Amsterdam last year,” said Arsenie, “But this year it was kind of a spur of the moment decision to play the WPTDeepStacks.”

With his girlfriend on his rail last night, he said that a good run of hands helped him on his way.

“It was my second bullet, so I did re-enter. I got some bad luck to start, but I just started getting some hands. I go ta lot of value with my hands.

“I showed a couple of bluffs and then later on I started getting no respect. People were calling me down with middle pair, Ace-high.

“It wasn’t a big triple knock-out, just continuously accumulating chips. I went on a run of not losing nine or ten hands, so that helps!”

Arsenie says that this is his first live tournament in six months, preferring to play online most weeks. He also plans to play the WPT Main Event later this week.

The cards are now in the air on Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam
