Baris Genc Secures Double-Up

Huseyin Yuksek opens to 3,000 from early position, and is called by Salavat Shafigullin in the next seat, Claude Bedran in the cutoff and Baris Genc in the big blind.

On the flop, action is checked to Shafigullin, who slides out a bet of 4,500, which receives calls from Genc and Yuksek. 

The turn pairs the board and is checked through by all three players.

The river completes the board. Genc leads out with a bet of 7,800, Yuksek folds, but Shafigullin produces a raise to 60,000, covering Genc’s remaining stack. Genc thinks it through for a moment, but makes the call.

Shafigullin shows for king-high, having missed his flopped gutshot, while Genc shows for the rivered wheel straight, having also flopped a flush draw. A player remarked “Big blind special”, as Genc raked in his full double-up.
