Back to Where it Began for P-Chan

As the break clock started to wind down coming back from dinner, Patrick Chan ran to the cage and was able to register with just seconds to spare.

This time last year Patrick Chan was nothing more than your every day grinder. Fast forward a few months and Chan has achieved more than most poker players can even fathom. Chan got his start early on grinding online and working his way up in small stakes live cash games. One of Chan’s first final tables was the 2012 DeepStacks Championship at Mohegan Sun, where he took home 5th place, earning $33,599.

After the score Chan continued to transition to becoming a full time live pro, with an occasional trip to Canada to play some of the online series. The next two years brough similar success to Chan, as he continued to lock up scores here and there, before eventually finishing 13th in the inaugural WSOP Millionaire Maker for a little more than $100,000 in 2014.

Chan cut back on his play in 2015 playing only a handful of tournaments, but eventually would find himself sitting at the final table, on the biggest stage. Chan earned himself a seat in the 2015 November Nine, earning his first seven figure score. Chan would finish 9th and collect $1,001,200.

Since the score Chan has moved out West, where he continues to grind cash and enjoy the California lifestyle.

Can Chan find success again at a WPTDeepStacks event, and can the seasoned pro finally break through and take home his first title? He will certainly be a player to watch as play progresses.
