Appel Picks up a Hand

After a limper and a raise to 625 it was Ahmed Karim who raised to 1,500 and Hennie Appel called from the button.

The limper folded and the initial raiser called creating a three-way pot on the flop.

The flop brought out K38 and the action was checked to Appel who quickly tossed out 3,100.

The first player folded and Karim went into the tank for a while before giving up his hand.

Appel showed AK to keep his opponents honest, and he chipped up to 39,000. Karim still has him covered with 48,000 in front of him.
