Andy Spears (pictured above) is a regular on the American poker circuit, having amassed over $1.1 million in lifetime earnings. However, one of the only things missing from his poker CV? A European flag on his Hendon Mob.

Spears laughed when reminded about this.

“I guess it would be difficult for me to get a flag as it’s my first time playing here in Europe,” he said, “I like my chances of going one from one in terms of victories.

“I’m definitely looking to get the Dutch flag in the next couple of days.”

Looking through his record you tend to see him performing very well in large field tournaments.

“I think that’s just because I’ve flipped very well in large fields,” he said, “It’s easy to go deep in large fields. Just…win all your flips!

“I went deep in a tournament at the Borgata earlier this year and I just won all my flips.”

This summer Spears will head to Las Vegas looking to add to his 39 World Series cashes he has picked up over the course of his career so far having cashed in seven in 2016.

“This is going to be my sixth year playing a full schedule. I normally play 25-30 tournaments, most of the no limit events, and I have no plans to change that.”
