Alon Cohen moves all in from middle position for 3,175 and the opponent to his direct left shoves his 13,600 stack in the middle. The small blind player thinks about coming along for the ride, and thinks some more until someone considers clocking him. He releases, the big blind releases, and the cards are flipped up.
“Oh man, you’re killing me,” Cohen says when his opponents tables .
“Do I have to show?” he jokes.
Cohen tables and his fortunes change on the flop. His opponent adds a wheel draw on the turn but the river is safe for Cohen’s double.
Cohen has already cashed in the tournament; he finished in 21st place in Flight 1E for $1,000 but he’s still trying to advance a stack to Day 2.
Alon Cohen – 7,250 (24 bb)
