A Long Drawn Out Hand: Sorensen v Agerskov

Nov 15, 2012

Rasmus Agerskov opens in the hijack seat, Jan Sorensen three-bets in the cutoff, Agerskov four-bets and Sorensen calls.

The flop is [Ah] [Tc] [6d] and Sorensen calls a 23,500 Agerskov c-bet. Both players check at the sight of the [9s] before Agerskov tanks for an eternity at the sight of the [3h] on the river. Yaron Malki Zeev eventually calls for the clock and as the floor person starts counting down from 30, Agerskov checks. Now it’s the time for Sorensen to ponder his next move. He quietly chews on a little plastic cutlass and counts his chips. Eventually he also checks and it’s time for a long overdue showdown.

Showdown

Sorensen: [Ad] [8d]
Agerskov: [Qs] [4s]

So top pair for Sorensen and the insides of a balloon for Agerskov.

Sorensen ~ 200,000
Agerskov ~ 160,000
