Day 3 of the PKR.Com WPT National Dublin started with an unofficial final table of 10 players and ended with British pro Simon Deadman hoisting the winner’s trophies and pocketing €67,500 for his impressive performance.

The day’s play started at 12:30pm GMT and it took just 90 minutes for the first two players, Charley Harvey and PartyPoker.com qualifier Philip Danner to make their way to the rail. After a short break, the official final table began, the action continued to move rapidly when Irishman Fintan Gavin moved all in with A-5 only to find trouble in the form of Joachim Haralstad’s pocket 10s.

Haralstad racked up the day’s next knockout when his pocket 9s dominated Daniel Laming’s Q-9. Simon Deadman sent Tommy O’Rourke home in sixth place when he out-flipped the Irishman’s pocket 9s by rivering a flush with his Q-J. Haralstad knocked out the next two players, sending PartyPoker.com qualifier Ben Carpenter home in fifth place and Jack Salter to the rail in fourth position. When Irishman Sean Prendiville fell in third position, our heads-up battle was set.

Deadman took less than 30 minutes to eliminate the aggressive Norwegian pro and claim the title, which represents his biggest win to date. As always, the final table of the PKR.com WPT National Dublin tournament was live streamed on www.WorldPokerTour.com with Jessie May calling the action along with guests Tom Carpenter and Dave Curtis.
