On Monday, after more than 11 hours of play at the final table, Joeri Koen Zanvliet was crowned the Gioco Digitale WPT National San Remo champion, outlasting a field of 616 entries to capture the top prize of €102,000. Joeri defeated Mirco heads up, who earned €72,000 for his efforts.
The Day 1A of the €990 buy-in Gioco Digitale WPT National Main Event kicked off on April 22, and attracted plenty of European players, coming to San Remo before heading down to Monaco for their next tournament. With 616 entries, the €200,000 guaranteed prize pool ballooned to an exceptional €537,768, and the top 72 players all earned a minimum of €1,700. Each member of the final table earned a minimum of €10,193.
