It was one year and one week ago when Nick Schulman kicked back and took one of the most memorable photos in recent poker history following his fourth career WSOP gold bracelet. That evening had an old-school vibe to it, with Schulman taking down a $1,500 Seven Card Stud event and chomping on a cigar.
Schulman’s victory on Tuesday night in Event 26, a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller, was a clear reminder that he can spar with the very best No Limit Hold’em players in the world and come out on top in dominant fashion.

On his way to winning career bracelet No. 5 and $1,667,842 – the biggest single prize awarded at the 2024 WSOP thus far – Schulman won a massive coin flip early on at the final table and never looked back. He recorded five of the seven eliminations from that point on, and on the final hand, Schulman faded a true coin flip to clinch his victory.
It was a whirlwind Day 3 for all 19 players who returned. The potential spread of outcomes was vast; each player was guaranteed $62,737 by making it to Day 3, but lasting 18 more spots would mint the top two players seven figures and a potential payday of more than 26 times the size.
Dan Smith, Jared Bleznick, and Dario Sammartino each fell before the official final table, with Shaun Deeb settling for his 2nd eighth-place finish of the 2024 WSOP thus far. Schulman’s final table competition also included Ben Heath, a WSOP bracelet winner who finished fifth in the WPT World Championship back in December.
Schulman’s $1.66 million cash is the second-largest of his career. Back in November 2005, at the age of just 21, Schulman won the WPT World Poker Finals at Foxwoods for $2,167,500.
