Two Chipleaders and a Short Stack

Erik Seidel has been on a well-documented hot streak so far in 2011, and now that he has the chip lead here with 11 players left, his second WPT title may be in sight.

Local player Michael Scarborough (from Cincinnati) may not have $4.3 million in 2011 earnings like Seidel, but he is on a hot streak of his own. In the week leading up to this WPT event, Scarborough won two prelim events and finished second in another. He was one of the late Day 2 registrants in this event, and he has already reached the money with the final table in sight.

Amanda Musumeci has been treading water with a short stack for several levels, and survived the money bubble in her first WPT event. Now she’s trying to reach the final 10 and survive to Day 4.
