Patrick Mahoney Doubles Thru Robert Keller

Jan 26, 2011

Patrick Mahoney raises to 12,000 from under the gun, Bobby Keller calls behind him, Bob Smith calls from middle position, and Chad Brown defends out of the big blind.

The flop comes down [AdJd4s] and Brown checks.  Mahoney bets 26,000 and Keller quickly announces he is all-in for around 400,000, which is more than enough to cover all of his opponents.  Smith thinks for a minute or two before folding and Brown gets out of the way as well.

Mahoney quickly says, "call," and flips over [JhJc] for middle set.  Keller winces and reveals [AsKc] for top pair.  The turn brings the [Ah], giving Keller additional outs.  The river [10c] is no help for Keller though and Mahoney doubles up.

As the dealer counts down the stacks, Smith informs Mahoney he laid down a really big draw.

Mahoney asks, "Wait, you laid down a combo draw?"

"Yes," Smith replies.

"Why?"

"It wasn’t the right time," Smith explains.

Patrick Mahoney – 515,000 (86 BBs)
Bobby Keller – 272,000 (45 BBs)
