The action on the preliminary final table started slowly with a series of raises and folds. Then Dave Shallow raises to 50,000 and Robert Bruil moves all-in for 285,000 causing Shallow to fold. Then we had our first casualty…
The action folds around to Stuart Fox on the button and he moves all-in for 306,000. Robert Bruil tank-folds in the small blind but Super Sexy Steve Watts calls in the big blind. Watts calmly turns over [As] [Kd] and Fox has the inferior [Ah] [Ts].
The dealer deals out three cards and right smack in the window is the [Th]. Watts veers away from the table in disgust while Fox remains motionless in his seat. The rest of the flop unfolds and we see [Th] [5h] [5c]. The turn is the [Jh] but the river restores balance in the pokerverse when it comes down [Kc].
Watts flexes his incredible biceps and shakes the hand of Fox who gets a consolatory round of applause for his 9th place finish.
