Tolokno Doubles Through Mutke

Apr 14, 2012

If you ever wonder how tight players manage to get paid off then read on.

Ben Wilinofsky raises to 60,000 in early position, Manuel Mutke three-bets to 140,000 in the cutoff and Konstantin Tolokno moves all-in from the small blind for 625,000. This is only the second hand that Tolokno has played in the past three or four levels so he must have AA, KK, QQ or AK only. Wilinofsky folds but Mutke makes the call with [3d] [3s] and Tolokno thinks it’s Christmas as he turns over [Kc] [Kd].

Board: [Qc] [9h] [8s] [4d] [6s]

Mutke drops to 650,000 and Tolokno can now return to his book because he now has 1,300,000.
