Terrible Table Ten Again

We reported earlier that Table Ten was one of the hardest tables at WPT Venice and we can now report that nothing has changed, in fact it has probably gotten worse! One man who does not seem to be having a problem with the depth of talent on the table is our WPT Champions Club member Guillaume Darcourt. Darcourt won his WPT title back in March 2010 when he took down the Bucharest event for $193,387, and the pink-haired genius is currently sat on a stack of 65,000 after losing the following hand.

Darcourt opens to 1,100 in the hijack and Mathew Frankland defends his big blind. The flop is [Ks] [9c] [2c] and both players check. On the turn we see the [Tc] and Frankland takes over the hand by betting 1,600 and Darcourt makes the call. On the river the dealer shows us the [4c] and this time Frankland slows down with a check and it is Darcourt who now decides to bet making it 3,600 to play. Frankland blows into the air, with a series of oohs and aahs, before finally making the call, and Darcourt mucks his hand. Frankland picks up the pot without even revealing his cards.

No shortage of talent! By the way, it isn’t a mistake, that is Antoni Romanello, the brother of our WPT Champions Club member Roberto Romanello. Antoni told us he came here because his brother told him there was plenty of value and he ended up sat with that lot!
