A frantic day of poker has just come to a close in the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship, as a starting field of 149 players has been reduced to the final nine in under 12 hours of play.

The final table was set with 50 minutes left in Level 28 (75,000/125,000/125,000), when Mate Bacs was busted by Aleksandre Apryan. The players will return at 1 p.m. local time on Monday, 26 August to the beautiful Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa to do battle for the trophy and first place prize of $172,870, which is supplemented by a seat to the WPT World Championships in Las Vegas in December.

Senchylo Zuev, the Day 2 chip leader, still leads the way, in large part helped by winning a crazy four-way all-in cooler with aces, where all players held broadway pocket pairs. Although another player also had rockets, he was short-stacked, so Zuev took a monstrous side pot. He returns with 86 big blinds and is closely followed by Tudor Purice and Emile Abi-Daher, and an exciting final table seems to be in store.

The final table seating draw and chip counts are as follows:-

Table Seat Player Chip Count Big Blinds
FT 1 Emile Abi-Daher 9,075,000 72
FT 2 Umit Sadi 750,000 6
FT 3 Senchylo Zuev 10,775,000 86
FT 4 Aleksandre Apryan 2,125,000 17
FT 5 Tudor Purice 9,400,000 75
FT 6 Eduard Bagrov 6,975,000 55
FT 7 Aleksandr Denishev 2,775,000 22
FT 8 Ioan Abrudan 4,550,000 36
FT 9 Samuel Klocker 2,000,000 16

The remaining payouts are as follows:-

1st: $183,470 (includes $10,400 WPT Championship package)
2nd: $115,250
3rd: $86,000
4th: $64,000
5th: $48,500
6th: $37,000
7th: $28,500
