Benjamin Pollak Eliminated; Artem Litvinov Takes Early Lead

Mar 25, 2013

A rather tanned and healthy looking Benjamin Pollak opens to 400 in the hijack, Luca Maccatrozzo calls in the small blind before Artem Litvinov squeezes to 1,600 in the big. Pollak four-bets to 3,425, Maccatrozzo folds and Litvinov goes into thought mode. Two minutes pass before Litvinov counts out a raise and pushes a 6,350 five bet over the line.

“I’m all-in,” says Pollak.

“Is this a re-entry? I need to know if this is a re-entry before I call?” Says Litvinov.

The floor confirm it is a re-entry, “Ok, I gamble,” says Litvinov before making the call.

Showdown

Litvinov: [Kc] [Ks]
Pollak: [Qc] [Qh]

Hardly a gamble Artem. The board runs out [Kd] [8c] [4h] [8d] [9h] and it’s Pollak who must re-enter tomorrow should he want to try and win a WPT title.

Litvinov ~ 63,000
