Ben Tarzia Doubles Up to 700K, Bruce Snell Eliminated

Feb 10, 2013

Shortly after Elan Branas won the biggest pot in the tournament, there was another one about the same size.

With the final board showing [10s6h5h9s10c] and more than 200,000 already in the pot, Bruce Snell has moved all in from the cutoff for 249,000 while Ben Tarzia tanks in the small blind.

Tarzia talks himself thru the likely hands that Snell could have, and he’s wary of quad tens, and thinks pocket nines could be possible for nines full.

Tarzia thinks a little longer and then calls with [6c6s] for bottom full house, sixes full of tens. Snell says, "Nice hand," and turns over [Ac10h] for trip tens — Tarzia wins the pot.

The chip stacks are counted down, and Snell barely covers Tarzia, who doubles up.

Ben Tarzia  –  706,000  (176 bb)
Bruce Snell  –  5,000  (1 bb)

Bruce Snell was eliminated a few minutes later.
