Apologies to Messrs Boss and Jazayeri

Nov 13, 2012

Yes it’s true , even the greatest in the game make mistakes once in a while. WPT Champions Club member, Sean Jazayeri, has – as expected – decided to re-enter today. During our usual tete-a-tete he told us that we had identified the wrong player when we reported his bust-out hand yesterday. We actually missed the hand and it was the chip leader, Andre Petrovic, that claimed the scalp of our 2012 L.A. Poker Classic Winner. We are sure it was a simple mistake, as at the time, Petrovic was knocking people out at the rate of Manny Pacquiao.

The man who was responsible for Jazayeri’s exit was Simon Boss. So there you are Mr. Boss, credit where credit is due. The pair are incidentally seated at the same table, and Jazayeri will be hoping that fate doesn’t repeat itself.

Here he is in early action: –

It is a limped family pot, and Jazayeri decides to take a 200 stab at the pot from the hijack seat. The player in the big blind is the only one that fancies seeing what the turn has to offer, the flop is [Ah] [5d] [2s].

Fourth street is the [As], the big blind checks and Jazayeri feigns a move before deciding to also tap the felt. The final card is the [5s] and the big blind drops two yellow chips over the line. They are worth 500 each and Jazayeri’s hand wriggles it’s way from his hand and hides in the muck.
