Klein Loses Some Chips to Kerper

Nov 16, 2012

Jens Kerper opens from the hijack, Emil Olsson calls in the next seat before the shiny head of Morten Klein pops up above the parapet to fire off a three-bet. Kerper and Olsson stiffen up in their chairs and both make the call.

Flop: [Jc] [Jh] [6c]

Not very inspiring, but we get action nonetheless. Kerper checks, as does Olsson, before Klein bets 45,000 from position. Kerper makes a very quick call and Olsson folds.

Turn: [Ks]

Both players check.

River: [9d]

Kerper leads for 132,000 and Klein takes off his headphones and starts paying some serious attention to the hand. He asks Olsson to split a 5k chips and counts out the call, separating it from his stack; it doesn’t leave him much to play with if he is wrong. He stares keenly at the board. We know from a hand he played with Peter Jepson, yesterday, that he has the capability of making the bold call. After several minutes of indecision, Klein eventually folds.

Kerper ~ 730,000
Olsson ~ 470,000
Klein ~ 244,000
