Chop It Up Boys

Nov 16, 2012

Stanislav Barshak raises to 16,000 under the gun, Kenny Kousgaard puts a pot committing 40,000 three-bet into the middle, Frei Dilling Kjaer must have showdown value because he four-bets to 102,000 before Niclas Martinsson reminds everyone that he is in the tournament by moving all-in for around 230,000.

Barshak looks a little red around the cheek area, but he lets his hand go. Kousgaard just flings his arms above his head. It is obviously the best hand he has seen in a long time, but it seems he can’t call. His hand enters the muck and Kjaer makes the call. It was all getting rather exciting, and then the cards were turned over. Both players had ace-king and the net result was the division of the blinds, antes and a third of poor old Kenny Kousgaard’s stack. Kousgaard told the table he had pocket nines. Lucky for him because a king fell on the flop.

Kjaer ~ 610,000
Martinsson ~ 275,000
Kousgaard ~ 85,000
