In cooperation with the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club), the World Poker Tour stop of its new mid-stakes tour has been taking place for the second consecutive year in the capital of Taiwan and it has become a stunning success. The flagship Main Event with a buy-in of TWD 33,000 sailed past the $1 million guarantee and surpassed the previous biggest attendance for a WPT Prime Main Event (1,224 at the Gold Coast / Australia in February 2023) by a significant margin.

Furthermore, the eventual champion also receives the $10,400 seat into the season-ending WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas on top of his cash prize with travel and accommodation covered by the WPT.

Best-positioned for the big payday are Dongkyu Kim (8,375,000) and Jacky Wang (8,200,000), who will sit next to each other on the final table and are separated by a mere two big blinds. Third in chips is Yannick Leonard with 5,350,000, one of two European finalists alongside Guillem Segarra (1,175,000).
