Day 1a saw a total of 399 entrants come out to play, ensuring that 50 players would find themselves surviving into the second day. Action concluded just after 1 am local time when Per Munksgaard eliminated Govert Metaal on the bubble. 

Leading the way is F. Adyin who bagged up 868,000 when the dust cleared. Rounding out the podium are Nam Van Loon who ended the day with 852,000, and G. Beerensteyn who ended his day with 670,000. 

Action ended in Level 16 with blinds at 4,000/8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante. Day two will begin at this time unless one of the other flights finishes prior to this one. 

Two flights will occur tomorrow with Day 1b starting at 12:30 pm, and a late flight at 7:00 pm where the levels are shortened to 20 minutes each.
