Michael Horchoff Cracks Derahn Sikes's Aces

Nov 18, 2013

Michael Horchoff open-raises all in for 203,000 from middle position and it folds around to Derahn Sikes in the small blind. He gets a count of Horchoff’s chips and sits for about 15 or 20 seconds, then says he is calling. Matt Glantz quickly gives up his big blind, and the players show their hands.

Horchoff has [Ad][Ks]. Meanwhile the table chuckles a little at the sight of Sikes’s hand — [Ah][Ac]. "That was a tough decision," deadpans Glantz with a grin.

The flop comes [9s][10h][Qc] and turn the [9c], and Horchoff is one card from elimination. But the river brings the [Jc] to give Horchoff a straight and he keeps his seat.

Derahn Sikes – 475,000
Michael Horchoff – 430,000
